This is a subtitle for your new post
No Fly Zone!
There was a time when getting in early and running services tight to the deck before
other trades started work was admissible and acceptable. Today with BIM, 3-D modeling and other advancements in planning and coordination, there continues to be an ongoing issue surfacing on new projects and in existing facilities alike: Penetrations running through construction joints .
In this issue, we discuss this specific practice – the routing of services through construction joints (head of wall, slab edge, expansion joints…) and why this practice should be avoided.
Specifically, we address:
- the impact of penetrations at construction joints
- what is a ‘ No Fly Zone’
- how to establish a ‘No Fly Zone’
I hope you enjoy this topic.
